Great place with delicious food and great service. I’ve had the enchiladas verdes a couple times already and each time they are always cooked to perfection with plenty of savory flavors and delicious taste. I come from Texas and will say this is perhaps the best Mexican food in Iowa city.

literally the best service every time. The food is always delicious and arrives to the table quick. The employees are always quick and helpful. Sometimes the service is too good I cant help but to leave a great tip. Don't get me wrong there are occasional flaws, but we are only human.

First time there and it will be the last. Food came quickly and everything tasted great. However our waitress never returned to check on us. We waited for 20 minutes after finishing our food before we had to ask for someone to to get our check. Our original waitress brought the check and after waiting another 15 minutes for her to return to take the check and payment we gave up, got up and took care of it ourselves with a different waiter. Service matters and the service was stunningly poor.

My family loved this restaurant in West Branch and we were very excited when they opened an Iowa City location since that is where we live. The food has always been great. The service has been OK. Our orders have been wrong in the past while dining in. No big deal because the food is delicious. We have ordered the same thing on several occasions and the bill has been different each time. Again, no big deal. However, this evening (8/1/2020) will be the last time that we will be giving our patronage to this establishment. We ordered a few meals for takeout. The food was picked up in a tied up plastic bag. When the bag was opened at home we discovered that one of our meals was missing. Again this is not a big deal. Stuff happens. We called the restaurant, let them know, they apologized and they said to come back for it. When my wife arrived at the restaurant one of the staff began to argue with her saying that they had packed the meal in the bag basically calling my wife a liar. What do we have to lie about? A mistake was made. We did not receive what we ordered and paid for. Instead we were served complete disrespect as frequent patrons of a local business. Never again. Also, I will be sure to relate this occurrence to anyone and everyone that I ever hear even mention Mexico Lindo, friend or stranger. Adios amigos.

Fantastic variety. Excellent dishes, generous portions, usually 2 meals. Staff is friendly & efficient. Really, really fast service! Always had sumptuous meals!
