I have some mixed emotions about my experience with a recent admittance to the ER. On 6/6 I came into the ER around 8am. I was initially impressed at how rapidly the intake process went and how fast treatment began. My Dr. seemed genuinely concerned about allowing me to make my own decision about furthering treatment for my ailment that day which was attributed to my beverage and/or food choices by said Dr.. To me it felt like an organ failing.. not just a hangover or food poisoning. Upon leaving my symptoms worsened until I vomited bile at which point my pain began to subside. After advice from other healthcare professionals I am acquainted with and some brief research it appears as I had a textbook example of a gall bladder attack. This was further evidenced when I later in the evening felt the duct open up and heard what I would only imagine to be bile flowing from my gall bladder. I was offered to leave or have a CAT scan. According to others who have experience this an ultrasound is the prudent and cost effective procedure. I am beside myself wondering how my experienced nurse and doctor could not identify that as I had all the symptoms and a history of high cholesterol eating. To give credit a gall issue was mentioned but since it was more common in women it did not seem to be of much concern during my visit. I will give a 2 star rating based on my previous experiences being a great deal better (when I had my child there in 05 and was treated for pnuemonia in 17) but will likely go somewhere else to get an ultrasound to determine the severity of the actual issue in the near future...

This would not feed my girl friend after having major surgery having a baby, they would not feed her anything saying there was no food in this hospital, she had to say here until here baby could come home, she went 3 days with out eating because this hospital said they had no food they wanted to give her. Go to mercy hospital where they take great care of you and will also feed the hungry, finally is no good.

I had gone to the doctors where I lived before due to severe pain between my beasts so they did some tests. Ends up being a non functioning gallbladder so I needed it to be removed. Then I move over here and had to get a new doctor and start all over basically. One day the pain was so bad I had to go to the ER. They treated me wonderfully here and my surgery was scheduled that same week. Amazing place filled with amazing people!
