When I visit other area of the country I tend to want to eat non-corporate/chain restaurants. Went to this little locally owned bar/grill while we were visiting Dyersville to have a quick lunch. It was around 1:30PM. The lady running the bar, appeared to be a little let down that we stopped in, like we were an inconvenience to her. I asked her if I could have an Arnold Palmer (Lemonade/Ice Tea) and in a snooty voice - well we can't make that, a little put off by the response, I responded with its ice tea and lemonade. I found out after this response that they use bottled tea and not freshly made tea, so she would have to open a bottle of lemonade and bottle of tea. Also, we we were told that we could only order fried foods, because the owner has cleaned the flat top grill and she doesn't want to have to clean it again before dinner rush. The whole environment just didn't feel friendly and welcoming. What I found interesting was that the lady running the bar was much friendlier to the locals and regulars than she was to us.
