BEWARE new customers. We recently deposited a large sum of money with the promise of 2% interest. We emphasized that it was to be split into 3 accounts to ensure that it didn't exceed the insured NCUA deposit limits. We were assured it was no problem. We did not receive any paperwork which was unusual compared with our previous banking experiences. When the bank statement arrived it was 1.5% and when we went to the bank for an explanation, the response was Sorry, I can't do anything about it, but if you wish to withdraw your money, we can have it ready shortly. When we called Customer Service in North Liberty, we were assured that it would be passed up the chain of command and would receive a call back. This is the second day and no response. So much for creating a lasting value in a banking relationship. Disappointing but accounts closed!

Why do you make it so damn hard to speak to a teller so I can check my damn ballance over the phone? It used to be easy but whatever possesed your mind to change is evil. I'm seriously thinking of changing banks.

I've been a member at this location since they opened earlier this summer.nFirst and foremost, it's about time for Waukee to have a credit union!! Secondly, the staff here was very friendly and helpful since day one. They know me by face, that's been really nice and also hooked my kids up with free admission into the Science Center for opening an account with them (we love the Science Center! It's pretty expensive with 4 kids!) Anyways, I overwithdrew my account last month by $0.15 ... and paid the fee.nI received a call from a very nice man today named Brian about a month after that who reached out and offered to refund the overdraft fee.nTHAT is good banking to me.nI quit using banks about 10 years ago after some awful customer service at Wells Fargo. I had no bones about paying my overdraft fee, but was a little agitated about being over by pocket change. Thank you UICCU and Brian for treating customers right!

Worst place I've ever banked with. If you want to be treated as just another number this is the place to go. Everytime I need something done it's a total nightmare. I will never do business with them again.
