St. Olaf is a small town without much going on these days, but it still has a hidden gem in St. Olaf Tavern. The sandwiches were good, of course, but I must recommend their fried food section. It was clear that the fry oil is changed regularly and that the cooks take the time to do it right. Every other fried mushroom that I've ever eaten has been watery, and the breading never sticks. Not true of St. Olaf's fried mushrooms. They were perfectly breaded and had a nice texture. Same with the rest.

Great gizzard and shrimp
A really good pork tenderloin. Large, thick, and just the right combination of spices. We also got our food pretty quickly. We will go back soon!
