Place was active with bicyclist and locals. We were able to sit outside and order drinks and dinner. The Tenderlion was very good, could have a little more salt on the breading. Also had a crispy chicken sandwich which was outstanding. Only negative is we didn't get drink refills.

Busy busy busy on the weekend at lunch! Had to wait a bit longer because of that, but the waitresses were polite and seemed to be doing their best to stay afloat with so many customers. Food was what you'd expect from a nice little low-key place like this. Would visit again if I was in the area. Outdoor dining was a welcome option.

Went in on a Sunday night, maybe 10 others in place. Took waitress 15 minutes to greet us and get our drink orders.nFood took longer than it should of, with what seemed like only one other order going out before ours. Burgers were bland and buns were soggy. I asked for napkins, salt and pepper and the waitress said something under her breath.nI had to go to her to get refills on our two drinks.nOnce we were done eating it took 25 minutes for our waitress to look over at us and ask if we were ready for check. Gave me some attitude about needing to make a call.nI don’t know if there is new management or lack of management but the food a year ago was way better and the staff was way better.nGave a 1 because 0 is not an option.

Thought we’d stop for a drink after we finished our ride on the trail. No one acknowledged us at the outdoor bar so we went inside. Stood at the almost empty bar for several minutes while the bartender talked to other people and left the bar a few times and didn’t even make contact. After standing there trying to make eye contact to order a quick drink and was completely ignored. First and last time we will stop there

I come to the whistlin donkey quite a bit and everything the food amazes me, I get something new every time. Today my daughter had the corn dogs I had the Hee Haw and Tayler had the crunchy chicken wrap. Great food great service not one complaint. Love it
