Allen used to be an excellent hospital 40 years ago. I had extensive hernia surgery there in 2018 and was admitted because of the pain my good surgeon knew I would experience. It was a nightmare, nurses were inattentive and I felt invisible the 2 days and nights I was there. I was in unbelievable pain yet they always brought my meds late so there was no keeping up with it. Food was stone cold and always late. Do not recommend to anyone! I'm seriously thinking of going to Mercy One in the future.

I went there for some medical issues and they refused to help me. Wouldn’t give me any treats would draw my blood to check on anything. They legitimately refused me services even after crying to them being stressed out to the Max and begging for them to do something they just told me to go to my primary doctor. Went to mercy one/ covenant got me right away took a little while to get my results back but their service was great compared to Allen. Will never go to Allen again

Professional staff. Quick appointments. easy in and out with parking ramp. Volunteers are nice and help you locate the office you are looking for.

My mother was admitted here with a broken ankle. She is 83 years old. Her mind is sharp but understandably was very confused after surgery. I live 19 hrs away and would call to check on her. I explained this to the nurse and she took down my number. I called today to have someone say they have no one by that name and don’t know where she is. I didn’t know if she was dead or in a rehab facility. They gave me no other help so I called around to locate my mother. I did find her (with zero help from this hospital) so at least I know she isn’t dead. I’m thoroughly disgusted with this place and the emotional trauma my family was put under. Disgusting when I was assured I would be contacted - I would think especially if they discharged her!
