We knew the nurses at infusion therapy (chemotherapy) would be good but we didn't expect this good. 6 months of treatment with no port. The love the nurses felt for every patient was palpable.

It's an excellent hospital but watch out with the vallet parking if they don't scratch you car they double parked in circle to measure someone else do it. And this is every single day cones and cars make your go tru tide.

My MD is trying to schedule imaging to confirm a cancer diagnosis but was told that I would have to wait a couple of weeks to get a call back to schedule because they are too busy and backed up. The doctor said that was unacceptable but was told there is nothing else they can do about it.

I started seeing a Dr at Yale then went for a 2nd and 3rd opinion. When I went to Yale I was told what to do and was led to believe it was the only course of action. When I went else ware it was explained there were several options and the choice was mine. Yale just tells you what to do and when to do it and does not bring you into the decision process for your own care.

Yale Smillow is a cancer center, therefore my expectation for all affliated employees is high. Unfortunately, Heather with the answering service in Fairfield, CT does NOT have the proper professional phone etiquette. Her tone of voice was snappy, I felt like she was impatient with me and when I addressed her about it she became argumentative. She did not offer any kind of apology, instead she tells me the call is recorded and she is turning it over to someone....As if it is not enough to battle with illness or the illness of a loved one. Going forward, I hope I'm not subjected to anymore 'less than professional' behavior by Heather.
