Really not impressed lately with this company. Ive been a regular customer for the most part happy with the service. I've been calling for 3weeks, to get a nail trim for my dog. Ive even gone into the store, twice. Played phone tag with the groomer. My messages and in person visits have done nothing. I finally get thru and theyve completely changed the entire policy and are being completely unhelpful to a regular customer. Ive put so much effort into trying to schedule an appointment now, I have to jump thru hoops again. Literally disgusted by the entire experience. My regular vet will not see for just a nail trim, due to covid. I turned down another grooming appointment from (a more responsive and helpful, although not one ive seen before ) to be accomodated by this company which ive gladly given my money to tipped well and my dog is well behaved for the most part. I live on church st, 2 mins away I asked if they would call me in the event of a cancellation, completely refused and got an attitude. Answer your phone and be a little more helpful when a customer is making a valiant effort to use your service. Now im left with an appt weeks away from a stranger and thats just too long and nearly inhumane for my dog. Every upset customer/negative experience you have a chance to rectify/ turn it around. If they do this, I will gladly remove this review and continue supporting and being kind to their staff.considering the literal lack of communication, and response to customers, I have a feeling it will stay.

I went in to the store about 20 min before closing to try to find a substitute food for my dog. I've been hearing good and bad about going to non grain free versus grain-free. I was on my own for a bit just trying to figure out which one to give a try, but the sales associate, Jordyn, came over to ask if I needed help with anything. I explained what I was looking for along with the fact I knew it was almost time for her to close (I've worked in retail many, many years and understand what goes in to closing the register, alarm, cleaning, etc so I didn't want to hold her up). I was SO appreciative of her taking the time to explain the pros and cons of what dog food is on the market today. She wasn't trying to push me in any direction but was just offering her assistance. She seemed to quite knowledgeable and I was more than willing to hear her out. I told her how thankful I was for her help and her modesty only allowed for the reply of, 'well it's my job' to which I explained that very rarely do sales associates in any kind of store actually take the time to talk to you, figure out how they can best help and then together try to make the right decision. Jordyn did just that but she went ABOVE and BEYOND and when it comes to my dog and animals in general, I'm very passionate and always advocate for our furry loved ones, both domestic and wild, who can't speak for themselves because I'm adamant they should be treated as our equal (and yes, I'm a vegetarian with vegan undertones so I may seem over the top sorry) but I digress. My apologies for my lengthy message but I just wanted to let everyone who reads this that Pet Valu actually, genuinely cares about what they do and sincerely care about our animal family members. I've never walked away from a store feeling so impressed with the customer service. Thanks again Jordyn for all your help! I'll be back soon for more food and treats for my baby Scarlett :)

I had such a good day with my pup because of this place. He’s a very anxious boy and was a little nervous at first, but he was fine once we got in the bath, especially when he saw that it was me washing him. It was so easy for me to wash him, you don’t have to clean up anything and they provided shampoo and conditioner, towels and a hair dryer (although we opted out because Coop is a little scared of the noise) and I bought a brush for him that he LOVES and makes him very floofy. We got a rewards card because we are sooo going back.

Great location with a great selection of different toys, treats, and accessories. The staff is very knowledge and helpful. They helped me find a deodorizer that works amazingly well for our 2 new puppies that are wrecking havoc on our home! They also have a self-wash station, but we haven’t had the pleasure of using them just yet.

An excellent store, with a nice variety for your pets as well as a very nice grooming station!!
