Coeur d'Alene Taphouse Unchained

Well this was our last restaurant to try on our vacation and was disappointed with the service. This place did not have friendly servers at all. Did not engage in conversation and did not take an interest in their customers. Then they apparently ran out of glasses for water so we only got one water and they never brought us a second on at any point. Ordered the pretzels and they were burnt and extremely hard and the cheese dip wasn’t very good either. The Mac and cheese was good so luckily that can’t be messed. The beer selection was great because they have a fridge in the back where you can pick one out yourself. And the atmosphere was nice and they had football from the other coast which was nice since that’s where we are from. Overall, cons service sucked and some of the food was burnt. Pros atmosphere, drink selection, and Mac and cheese was decent.

This is not the pace to be if you would like great service.This is our second visit back because we wanted to give it another try. We sat at the bar and ordered a drink.We were not asked about food or offered a menu. I walked to the end of the bar where the workers were chatting to grab a menu. All 3 employees saw me but never asked if I wanted to order. The Bartender was horrible. He was more concerned with chatting with his co workers at the end of the bar. We quickly paid for our drinks and left to find a friendlier place. Did I mention we were the only customers there.

Good selection of beers. Service seemed a little novice. They were not familiar with the origins of the beers they served. Got the club sandwich. The bread was really good; crusted with seasonings.

Cool place. Great selection. “To Go” fridge is really cool idea to serve resort guests.nBe sure to check out for menu and don’t miss the fresh fried “Boat chips and dip”.

Brought my whole family here for happy hour that’s advertised online. However, there isn’t a happy hour and most things advertised online weren’t served anymore. Update your website please. We were so disappointed & spent way more than we wanted to.
