My son, who's about to turn 21, and I went to the Grape Street location because he had seen a Taurus .357 there the previous day. He was still about a month shy of being able to purchase it himself so he asked me to buy before it was gone. I thought the gun looked a little dingy but seemed otherwise okay. I paid for it and they put the purchase through the background check. While we waited my son and I had conversations with the two men behind the counter, Dave and Steve. Dave took care of the transaction from start to finish. Very nice guy. What impressed me most was that Steve pulled our purchase out of the box and proceeded to polish it, unasked while we all talked for the next 20 minutes. That gun looked new when he was done. My son and I were both impressed with this (and their conversation). Steve went above and beyond in my estimation. Keep up the good work gys!!

For those who follow my reviews, PLEASE understand that my earlier review was in ERROR and based on FALSE information. I'd like to tell you that after meeting the staff, especially the awesome store manager, David, that the Gun Shop inside the Army Navy store in Whitehall, PA has been one of the most pleasant buying exchanges I have ever had and earned every one of the five stars I have given it.nnI had been looking for a special production gun all my life, and while purchasing an awesome LAR-15 from my new friend Joe, I mentioned my desire for a very special gun. It wasn't more than a week later when Joe called me and told me that one had come into the shop and is for sale. I couldn't believe the luck. I quickly returned to purchase the treasure and was instantly greeted by their team leader, manager and all around good guy, David. We had a wonderful time chatting and looking at some of his personal collection while the staff got the proper paperwork completed for my gun. I can't say enough good about these guys and know that my first place to look for future purchases will always be there.

Selection is good and staff is quite friendly and helpful. Most items are fairly priced. The 3 stars is due to the fact that they seem to be price gouging on the sale of 9mm ammunition. What they carry is simple range ammunition and is worth $20 a box at most. The $50 a box + tax that they are charging is ridiculously overpriced. I understand trying to make a little extra when supply is limited but this is abusive and border line unethical. They are not the only ones doing this, but it is wrong nonetheless. If this is the way they do buisness I won't be shopping there again anytime soon.
