The Hanalei Gourmet

At the Hanalei Gourmet the staff were very friendly. The food was delicious and the prices weren't outrageous, even by island standards. We had a burger and a eggplant sandwich. The fries were definitely better than the chips. In addition to tasty food, they also offer local brews and fruit beverages.. When you finish check out the history and native art next door.

Great food! Best fries ever and very good burgers. Definitely order the chocolate cake. Very nice staff.

A very busy place and you can tell why because the food is phenomenal. I enjoyed my fresh fish opah sandwich with the fresh capers in the aioli sauce was just delicious. And I had the two juices mixed of guava and passion juice very refreshing we all enjoyed our meals today. The waitress worked so hard for our large group of seven. I only wish we could come back and have one more meal before we head back to California Thursday.

Perhaps they need time to find their groove after reopening. We were seated at 6:58 - took until 7:30 to get drinks and dinner shortly after. Marlin sandwich slight overcooked. No flavor. Sprouts and heavy red onion removed to taste the fish. Mai tai too heavy on the rum not the best during my stay. Friend ordered side of ranch that never came. Lots of potential but until they ramp up walk across to Kalypso instead ...

Good food. Good portions. Normal price.
