I'm a truck driver and I've been to a lot of good places to eat. But this place is extra special. I don't know what it is but when I was younger restaurant's tasted really good. And as the years gone by most of my favorite places lost that quality. This place takes me back to when restaurant food had great quality and tasted fresh. I love this place and recommend it to everyone and to all my trucker brothers. Best food in Washington

Horrible experience! We came to Washington on vacation from NYC, and saw the nice reviews of this place. We walked in, got seated fast. Took a while to be attended but we didn’t mind. We weren’t in a rush. Got our coffee and hot chocolate, and another few minutes to be asked if we were ready to order our food. The lady who was attending us ended up mixing one of our platters with the table next to us. My cousin who lives here just said it was alright, but he was annoyed since the lady didn’t seem to even try to fix the problem. She just wanted to swap the platter with the table she confused it with, even though my cousin and the other customer who had their order confused had both touched the platter with the forks. She didn’t offer to give a new plate or anything. Once that mistake was taken care of, she ignored us completely. Didn’t offer if we wanted any more coffee, or hot chocolate. A different lady came to us asking if we wanted coffee towards the end of our meal. Why would we want coffee when we had finished our meal and were completely ignored. I asked for the bill and she just pointed that “the bill was on the table for a good while”, and walked away. The bill was about 55$, so we left 60$ cash on the table and left, and yet the lady attending our table came outside while we were walking to our car and said seriously we’re leaving without paying and we said we left the money on the table and she looked lost and said oh. Terrible and horrible service. Food was barely even good, the only decent pet was the drinks, yet we couldn’t even get a refill due to being ignored the whole time after our waiter made her mistake. Please stay away, and go somewhere else!!! Don’t spend your hard earned money here!

Food was good, portions were generous and the place was clean. The staff were following required protocols and were generally quite busy. It's well worth a visit. Just a pleasant place to dine and I recommend it.

Im a general manager at a NYC restaurant, I know customers can be stressful to deal with but the customer service here was terrible! The employees don't dare to try to actually fix mistakes and it makes the restaurant look bad when the food isn't. We we're completely ignored here after our waiter made a mistake, after a cousin of mine recommend it, usually orders take out. She didn't offer any coffee or hot chocolate after our cup we're empty. We ended up paying and leaving the money on the table. While we were walking to our car, the waiter came walking behind us asking if we're serious on not paying, and we recalled that we left the money on the table, and she just said oh and walked back in. Please work on your staff training. We are always generous on leaving an amazing tip to all hard working waiters and workers, especially during these days. But this was just an upsetting experience.

Stopped from traveling to get gas at nearby gas island. Went in to use bathroom, was told no, not unless you are a customer. Really, because people traveling don't need to use restrooms. How unkind. I would recommend your establishment if it was hospitable, but it want so I won't ever stop to eat there.
