John absolutely made my day! I was searching for a particular type of shoe in dark chili and an unusual size as a factory second. John sized my feet, answered all my questions, and told me he would let me know if that shoe came up sometime in the future. Fast forward a couple of days and he lets me know he found the shoe! I’m getting married in a month and I’m estatic I’ll be able to wear these shoes and keep them for many years to come. The store was wonderful, service excellent, and shoes fantastic. Will be coming back again in the future if I ever need leather goods.

I would give AE and this particular location no stars if I could. Absolutely horrible quality and customer service. I purchased my first pair of AE at the beginning of November during their fall sale. I was excited as I heard so many good things. The associate helped me to find my fit and I thought I was going to get a great pair of shoes. Had to order them since my foot is a little wide. Well, that's not what happened. I received my shoes and on my 3rd wear the suede cap disintegrated. I work in an office! There should be no reason why that happened unless there is a defect. I called the store and the associate that sold me the shoe answered. He tried telling me I could not return it if the sole looked used. Like, what kind of customer is that? So I called the main line and they told me to send it to their recrafting center for evaluation. Walked me through the process. Sent it in and didnt hear anything back for a week-ish. When I received the confirmation that the center received it, they provided me info for a pair of shoes that weren't mine. After multiple calls, it turns out that they attached my description sheet to someone else's shoes. They had to find mine. Calling customer service was a hassle because they didnt want to help me. Told me I did the process wrong eventhough the original customer service attendant walked me through the process. After arguing with the guy, I was told it was defective and they would issue a refund. To add more insult though, apparently they refunded a card that isn't mine! So going to have to call customer service again to figure this out. I will never shop from this store again. I would never recommend AE to anyone. The whole experience was a joke.

Incredible customer service, my wife wanted to buy me a pair for my birthday and I went in they measured my feet, showed me the different models felt very comfortable with john he also advised me that there was going to be a trunk show next week great opportunity to get custom pair of AE..

Do not question the quality of the shoes, because they will get super offended. I only asked about the decline in quality over the years and that was not a subject they wish to discuss. I would want a more honest customer service.
