I don't understand why any hospital thinks it's not important for an adult to have a family member with them. When they are admitted to the hospital. I don't understand what the difference is your workers go home everyday. And come back. And I'm pretty sure they go into the stores, and out in public. How can you think it's okay to let a loved one. That is already scared. Be there by themselves. Even worse then that I no some that have had to die alone. That isn't okay. I don't understand how you can take the right away from people to be there with their loved one. I can understand you not wanting them to go back n fourth. But if they are willing to not leave that hospital. Then that right to be with their loved one shouldn't be taken away. We can send our kids to school, we can go to grocery stores, we can go to doctors offices. But we can't be there with our loved one when they need us the most.

I am disappointed in the care we received in the emergency department this morning. First, we arrived just prior to Dr. shift change at 0800, we arrived and were the only patients at 0715-0720 and the doctor who was there, Dr Powell, made us wait until the new doctor arrived at 0800 to be seen or treated. When the new doctor arrived, she spent three minutes telling us about an obscure disease that affects a minimal amount of the population and decides that is what it has to be...then treats for that...poorly...after a three minute interview. Even after I explained to the emergency room doctor Whitney Hansen that previous treatments had been successful, she said she would not be doing those treatments. The medication she prescribed while in the ED was labeled as an allergy so they gave it with Benadryl rather than the medication which had been described as effective. Never mind the fact that the ER doctor is too scared to prescribe a single dose of opioids because Carbon County junkies frequent the emergency department. Trish, our nurse was 10/10 and amazing as usual. I'd even give the fourth year medical student a 4/10 for at least spending longer than three minutes in the room with us. The doctor, both Dr. Powell and Whitney Hansen, I'd given 1 and 2 respectively. We left the emergency department in the same state as when we entered. Just with a bill and the sense that we were neither valued or cared for. Then, when I called the hospital to make a complaint about our treatment, I was told they had no way for me to make a complaint until the department manager would be back. I'm disappointed, not only because of the way we were treated, but because of how stark the difference in treatment and the end results were. In the future, we will be avoiding this hospital for any future treatment.

I see a lot of negativity in the reviews for this hospital. May I remind everyone that The people that work at this hospital are fellow Citizens and Frontline workers. That is an objective fact. Dr. Whitney Hansen and Her staff are fantastic. I did not find out that night what was wrong with me, but I was able to make it almost pain-free to my destination. All her staff is kind and caring, although I'm still very sick, I found out what was wrong with me, and I would not have made it without them. They all had warm smiles and genuine concern in their hearts. Even helped me get back to my car and everything I own, which was an hour and a half away. I was only passing through. The bill was a Gorilla at first, however after speaking to the billing department it willl be managable, I like how the man in the billing department talks (Facts and no B.S) they want to help you pay your bill and have many avenues to help depending on your insurance or financial situation. I got off the phone with the billing department satisfied that I know Everything that I need to know. I like that. Thank you Dr. Hansen and staff for helping a brother out. Willie.

Don’t waste your time, drive extra hour.. i went in 4 different times when i had pancreatitis.. they said it was muscle spasms.. i went up to provo, they actually ran tests and found out what was wrong.. My baby went in with RSV and Influenza A.. i was there for 5 hours before they told me what was wrong.. then also missed 2 ear infections. ER nurse Allen.. is rude and thinks nothing is wrong. I love their Labor and Delivery tho! so nice and helped me along the way! i would give labor and delivery a 5 out of 5 and ER like a 1 out of 5

Came her for a work COVID test and waited 40 minutes and got butted in line because they knew the guy. So Unsat customer service. There’s a reason they have a 2.8 rating and keeps going down.
