The customer service and quality of product is EXCELLENT. I went in without an appointment and got helped right away. I have a problem on my feet and brought in my orthotics. The staff member was very attentive to my needs, measured my feet, made me walk barefoot, and without any hesitation brought out four different styles of running shoes that could have helped me. The staff member was very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a new place of shoes, regardless of how experienced you are at running. I've been running for more than a decade on trails and the pair of shoes recommended by the staff member are the best pair of running shoes I've ever had. The prices are very competitive with the market.
Wonderful local store for your running or walking needs, or to just get a good pair of sneakers. We only buy our sneakers here because the staff works with you, one on one, to find the best fit, and they are trained to actually help you rather than just fetch whatever you ask for. We've loved the sneakers we get here (we're not runners so just use them for walking and everyday use) and keep coming back because the employees and owners give such great service.nnThe store has running groups and classes, and I took a walking class and joined the walking group - though with COVID that hasn't been happening - and it was a wonderful experience. This can be a great place to connect with other people who enjoy what you enjoy.
I'm a walker, not a runner, wasn't sure what to expect. They are doing a great job limiting the number of people in the store at any one time. We had our own taped off zone. Jason took his time to size my foot, check my gait, and gave me a couple options. Tried out the first and it didn't work for me. They were more than willing to exchange the shoes. Thank you Ken, Bill and Jason!
I have been a loyal customer since The Running Place opened! Great advice and wonderful folks there....always! Today I had a moment while running another errand to stop buy to get new running shoes. The sign in the window suggested making an appointment. Another sign said walk ins were welcome. So I thought I would see if I could be a walk in! The employee who met me asked in an annoyed voice if I had an appointment. I apologized and said I did not but saw the walk in sign. She said she could not see me right away and that was okay with me. I said I would leave and make an appointment to come back at another time. She raised her voice and in a very nasty way said that she was finished with her current client and COULD see me after all. I found her attitude and loud voice off putting and said that was ok...I'd rather come back at another time. After thinking about this exchange, I have decided not to go back. Sad. Only one star for past experiences and great product. NOT for current customer service
Outstanding, Ken took time to understand my running needs and measure me. He brought out multiple pairs of shoes that would fit my running style. I was so happy I bought two pairs of shoes!
