The Ski Bum has helped my son and me at every stage of our progression. Skiing and ski gear can be intimidating, especially for a novice - Which is why I'm very glad that I started here where the staff is knowledgeable, and eager to share the joy of snow sports. As we became more involved in skiing and my son started racing, The Ski Bum was incredibly helpful and is happy to point you elsewhere if they don't have exactly what you need.nIn today's world so many things are automated there is very little service and good service is extremely rare. Service at The Ski Bum is excellent - Last season when the owner Chris called me to discuss my son's DIN settings he made a customer for life. I'll be back for a boot fitting/purchase this season and I'm grateful to have this resource close to home.

As always my experience at ski bum today was world class. I dealt with Matt and Liam and they warrantee replaced my BOA cable and dials on my snowboard boots. Even though this was a warranty at no charge they still made the experience very easy for me. I told him I didn’t need them for a couple days but within 20 minutes they called me back and I was shopping nearby and was able to come back and get my boot. There was also an additional complication with the boot that Liam problem solved and helped me get back on the slopes in fine form. Other shops that don’t care or possibly don’t know as much about keeping the customers happy & on the slopes (& are more interested in the $ only) would’ve probably said hey your boots cant be fixed and you have to buy a new boot. Liam listened to what I was trying to achieve, used his expertise and repaired these perfectly for me. Fantastic on all fronts.nnThis is the exact same experience I had when I purchased a new snowboard for my son and when I purchased a used pair of boots there as well.nnI can think of no other snow sport experts that I would do business with other than ski bum.

My experience may be atypical - I see many good reviews for the Ski Bum, but my personal experience was less than great. My Kids & I just learned to snowboard this season. My son & I went to the Glen Mills location to explore options for getting our own gear. I was hoping for someone to walk us through and educate us on the different types of boards, bindings, boots, etc available and help me figure out what would be best for us. The two different salespeople we spoke with were really less than enthusiastic about helping - it was like pulling teeth to get info - no explanations or overviews were offered - had to ask specific questions to get even vague answers. To top it off - it was clear we were looking for snowboard gear and clear we were looking for both kids and adults gear - we talked about rentals and I was told we could come in Thursday to get rental gear for the weekend. When I showed up with both my kids Thursday evening to rent gear, we were told they don't rent kids snowboard gear - they only have kids sizes in ski gear rentals. Would have been nice if either of the two salespeople I discussed rentals with a few days earlier had told me that.

Amazing service. My wife and I spent almost 2 hours on boot fittings. Nick explained everything about boots, their fit, different options, how to care of them. I tried on 6 different boots with inserts and without inserts. They adjusted my wife's bindings to use the new boots the same day. Super friendly and patient staff. Very knowledgeable and I learned a lot. This is service, attitude, and knowledge I expect from a ski shop.
