Womancare Associates - Bethel Park

I'll start with the positives to be fair:nThe support staff was very friendly, everyone was running perfectly on time so I didnt have to wait at all, and the check in process and new patient paperwork was really easy.nnBut unfortunately that ends my good experience. I made an appt for my annual female exam, and made it clear it was because I had missed a period but there was no chance that I was pregnant. I also made it very clear that I do not have health insurance and need to preapprove everything before they do it so i can make sure i can afford to pay it. Well the nurse brought me back into the exam room but didnt give me a gown, so I had to try to get into one without fully exposing myself once the CRNP came into the room and handed me one. Then she seemed really frazzled and asked me what she was supposed to be doing. I said an exam, and she proceeded to get to work. She didnt do a breast exam, which i assumed was included in every annual exam because every doctor ive had since I was 14 has done one. But maybe thats my fault for assuming. But anyways, the CRNP never cracked a smile and kept asking when im getting insurance. She ended up ordering several blood tests and an ultrasound that I was to get done somewhere else. When it came time to pay, i was told the final amount was $xxx which I paid and was told that was the total cost of that visit. Then I got a bill 3 weeks later for another charge. I paid it, but im frustrated that it was for a pregnancy test I didnt need and wasnt told was not included in my first bill. On top of everything, the extra tests she told me to go get totalled over $2,000! I only got part of them done because clearly I cannot afford all of that, but got a call from someone other than the CRNP a week later saying the test wasnt conclusive enough and Id need to get it done again. I was never told the results of the tests done in office so Im not sure what was done. Needless to say Im disappointed in the whole experience and wont be going back and wont be getting the expensive test redone. If the CRNP had been more kind and communicative it would have been a different story.

First off the Doctors here are wonderful! However, the office staff is horridly mean. My daughter drove 4 hours, through the blizzard in January 2014, to make her appoint here - she likes the doctors that much. She is a college student and had this appointment scheduled for many months. A long story short, she was literally stuck along the road in a ditch, and in the process of getting pulled out. She called the office to apologize and say she would be a little late due to an auto accident, but would be there ASAP. She was willing to sit in the waiting room until other appoints were caught up and in no rush. What she heard was 'SORRY, if you are over 15 minutes late we can not see you at all'. She was 15 to 20 minutes away from this office, from a 4 hour drive. They were unable to reschedule her and she is unable to get her prescription because she needs a checkup every year. Her next break from college, which will now be another 4 hour drive, is in March. NOW she is being told she can not schedule that far in advance. I thought perhaps my daughter was exaggerating about the rude phone behavior and sure enough, when I called to schedule an appointment for her, I was met tones of disgust and sighs. I really do not understand it at all because these doctors are so outstanding.

I see the posts saying the staff is awful....however I had quite a positive experience.
