If you can follow rules, stay positive and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, then you can donate plasma without any issues. The staff up front is great, the staff in the back is great and if you go in the evening you get a special treat. A whole different cast of characters that donate later in the day that like to have a good time. I've never had a bad stick. Payment is like clockwork. Have patience and smile and you'll enjoy the experience!

Their web-based appointment page doesn't prepare staff to actually have everything prepared ahead of time; I had to wait almost 3 hours before getting plasma drawn. The person who hooked me up to the machine me gave off a heavy impression that they couldn't care less (was more interested in taking off her fitness smart-band and hitting it off her leg for steps), and apparently wasn't prepared to handle non-ideal veins; instead of calling someone else to do the initial stick, she did it, and the machine was unable to return blood, after which someone else (barely spoke English, but was a lot more hospitable) had to come over and give it a try.nnI've been to two other plasma donation centers (one other Biomat in southwest PA, and CSL Plasma), and this one was the worst experience I've had. Apparently there can be large differences in staff and experiences between different Biomat/Grifols locations, and you can't just walk into another Biomat/Grifols as a return donor (you have to basically start the new donor process again).nnIn short, I would not recommend this particular center largely because of the medical staff.nnOutside of the donation process, the prepaid debit card Grifols provides is by Bank of America, and they have restrictions on Apple Pay usage (can't use it to take money off the card in any manner), and they don't provide a bank routing/account number. CSL uses Wirecard which doesn't have those restrictions and makes moving money off their card easier.nnThe wireless access provided by Grifols at two different locations is also restrictive. Wasn't able to read my emails (Posteo), wasn't able to connect to any VPNs, and I wasn't even able to play a game (Old School Runescape; was unable to connect to the server). I particularly liked being able to play that game during the donation process. T-Mobile cellular service (LTE) worked fine inside the building though.

Been going here for 4 years and today I had an experience that I can surely say I'll never return, after being stuck by a clearly mistrained medical staff I begin to form a blood clot which I've never had in my 28 years on this earth. Was not able to receive composition because of a big mistake on they part. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THE DONOR and if it's anything on they wrong doing you won't be compensated so save yourself the pain and time and find another donor center to attend, I will.!

Had a great experience as a new donor! The entire staff was excellent! Very courteous, helpful and attentive! Extra shout out to Paul who did my initial processing; he was very professional and personable! He did a great job!!
