Our 6-year-old son spent a week at Children's. We could not ask for better care. Our son was treated wonderfully by all. The excellent Doctors and Nurses were overly attentive to our needs and kept us informed of every detail about our child. Child Life kept him engaged and made him feel very special. He thoroughly enjoyed the activities, especially virtual BINGO! The student nurses were a huge help. They entertained our son to give us a quick break to contact family, talk to doctors/nurses or eat a quick bite. Our room was kept clean, food was delivered promptly and the halls were quiet to allow time to rest. The food service was above expectations. There were plenty of healthy options for our child to choose from. Our son felt like he was relaxing at a hotel and not in a hospital. Thank you to the exceptional, dedicated staff at Children's. Your patience and support of us during this difficult time is so much appreciated!
My son was life-flighted here and we stayed for 5 months. If you need to take your children anywhere I recommend taking them here. They saved my sons life. The docs, nurses and all staff is amazing, super friendly, easy to talk to, and very informative. Every step of your child's recovery, check-up or what your there for they will go into great detail about each step. They explain thoroughly. If you have any questions they will answer them and if they can't they will find someone that will.
We always have a great experience when we have to visit Children’s Hospital, the staff is always so friendly and great with my son.....it truly makes it easier to get my son to want to go to his appointments. However, I experienced a very rude nurse today, she had me in tears by the end of the conversation....I asked for a number to call and she was to have her supervisor call me because she didn’t have a direct line for me to call........I’m still waiting on a return call, but I can assure you that nurse Chris Hines from pediatric surgery will not be allowed to be in the vicinity of my child because she’s very rude and has no bedside manner when talking to people. I can’t imagine how she is with kids/teens if she is that rude to parents.
I had to bring my daughter to the ER. We waited in the waiting room for only a few min before getting called back to our room. Our nurse, Lindsay, is so super nice, patient, informative and kind. She is very pleasant. Then Ava... from registration. What a joy to interact with. She was so sweet, bubbly, pleasant, respectful, and kind. She smiled and interacted with my daughter and myself and actually made this visit pleasant (ER visits by nature are not fun). Thank you Lindsay and Ava!
The nurses on 6th floor trauma unit was the greatest ever. They were so personal! They went above what they needed to do to make my son and I feel comfortable. They were nurses that did their job cause they loved what they were doing. Also the ortho surgical staff treated my son like it was their own. I have never been to a hospital that made you feel like family and they was doing their best for there patients like this one.
