Hospital and staff are great. My review is for their lab. Waited for an hour for a two minute blood draw. No explanation behind the wait. If you need lab services go somewhere else.
Unfortunately I received mediocre care at the ER, and was released without any relief at all to my symptoms with the excuse that they don't have the equipment to do a test I needed, but without giving me a plan to manage the unbearable pain while I waited to get this test, which has a long wait list. They also actively told me to take a pain reliever that would only make my condition worse, which I found out after a quick google search. I am grateful of all their efforts especially during the pandemic, but find it very difficult to be mistreated during a health emergency. The ER was also empty when I came in, and not very busy during my stay, yet there were mistakes on my release forms about my medication, and just a lack of attention, listening, and compassion to pain.
Had my son here 3 yrs ago and they were wonderful! The nurses in the maternity ward took great care of my son who had issues eating. He had to have a tube in his nose to help him eat till we found out what was wrong. Had to stay past my covered days and they let me stay in my room as long as they didn't need it for another patient.
I wanted to tell the head of Sewickley hospital that my nurse Yvette is the most caring and kind nurse I have ever met. I just had a total knee replacement and the pain was getting unbearable. She was so attentive with me. Yvette is an amazing addition/nurse!!nI am in room 581 and it is 10:30 pm. I assume she has the second or night shift.nShe is amazing!!nBea Hopkins
The Doctors and Nurses on the ICU unit are excellent caring , you can tell they truly care about the patient , last September my dad was put on life support due to liver failure and really had no chance to live but they stayed focused and did absolutely everything they could and kept him as comfortable as possible until me and my sister made the decision to stop the comfort meds and life support , it was the worse day of my life having to do that but the nurse’s and the dr that day made it easier and as comfortable as possible for us, my mom was with us and she was a nurse she was impressed as was I with the care my dad received!
