Whistling Hare Distillery

Hole-in-the-wall distillery that never ceases to impress. I always have several of their bottles open. Right now, it's a rye, a gin, and a blue corn vodka (a vodka with actual flavor!). The folks here are so easy going and knowledgeable. In this hopefully very temporary time of precaution, Whistling Hare provides a great relief with their flavorful libations and crafty cocktails.

The distillery is continuing to sell deals through Groupon, then refuses to honor them.nnResponse to owner: This is a completely different answer than I recieved over the phone. Bad business practices lead to bad reviews, especially when they prevent customers from visiting after making a purchase. The distillery is still serving takeout, but has chosen not to accept vouchers for this, or to offer an alternative. I'll update my review if/when this changes. As far as hard times go, maybe it would be a good idea to work with customers who are trying to support your business.

Gosh where do I start? Came here on a Groupon deal, and ended up falling in love with this place. The tester flights are just the start of something even better. The drinks in general are really great. I’m not a big gin guy, but theres was really good. Service was off the charts Would definitely come back!

Have mixed feelings.....my sister and I stopped in when we were driving by. The interior definitely was whimsical and had a great atmosphere. Nicely tucked into an industrial area. The weather was sunny, so the rolling door was still able to be opened. Gorgeous day to visit. However.... our server wasnt very personable and didnt have any suggestions. We werent asked if the drinks we ordered were good. We werent offered a flight, or a tour or any explanation of what may be available. We needed to go back up to the counter for a second round of drinks, but the server wasnt around. The server never approached us at all unless we initiated. But had no problem standing and talking with another customer for several minutes at a time. The painting on the wall makes for great conversation but dont ask about the hare.

Love the Blue Corn Bourbon that I just purchased! Whistling Hare has some fine spirits, and I was so highly impressed with their hand sanitizers that they are giving away with purchase. Very much appreciated talking with Sandy and thought 'what a great idea' to have their virtual classy cocktail hour! Thanks Whistling Hare, keep up the great work!
