Rocky Mountain Pediatric OrthoONE at Red Rocks Medical Center

My 11 year old daughter was experiencing knee pain in her right knee. We were referred to Dr. Pytiak for diagnosis. His thoroughness revealed osteo chondral lesions in both knees! We are so grateful for his experience and keen eye, so that we could have both injuries treated at once. A double knee surgery on a young kid is very daunting, and the staff at Ortho One proved to be very helpful and understanding. What could have been a horrible experience was not, and 7 months later my girl is walking again. We are grateful for the excellent care she received.

I had an issue I was working on with my insurance company. In the mean time my son broke his hand. He needed to see a pediatric orthopedic Doctor asap according to the Urgent care Doctor. That doctor recommended Children's Hospital. They would not even schedule an appointment without my insurance issue being cleared up even after offering a credit card to self pay. I called RMP OrthoONE and they got me in within a few hours. Their primary concern was the health of my child. The staff was amazing top to bottom. Everyone from the lady that took my initial phone call, to the person at the desk, Nurses, Doctors and the guy that does the casts were all so great. I cannot express my thanks enough to this crew. They went above and beyond to help fix the most important thing to me. I am and will be a huge advocate for this very professional practice.

just now-EditnErik Heinzen made my 4 month old daughter and myself feel so comfortable during what could have been an uncomfortable (for her) ultrasound on both hips. This was a follow up to an appointment that we had done at Children's Hospital Colorado and came to Rocky Mountain Pediatric OrthoONE after being disappointed with our overall experience at Children's. I sure wish we had come to Dr. Heinzen first and would definitely recommend for parents scheduling pediatric orthopedic appointments for their children to go to Rocky Mountain Pediatric OrthoONE. You can tell that the entire staff here truly loves working with children. From the person checking us in at the front desk to Dr. Heinzen and his assistant and finally the staff who we walked past on our way out, everyone greeted us with a big warm smile and hello. During our appointment, I felt like from start to finish we were in such good hands and Dr. Heinzen knew how to pick up my baby and gently adjust her during our appointment. Not only was he extremely professional, he is also very personable and spoke to me about her procedure in a language that I understood, translating the medical terminology into words that made sense to me so that I left with a clear understanding of the procedure. He also provided me with the results of her ultrasound before we exited the exam room. With our previous appointment at Children's, we had to wait several days for our ultrasound to be read and then were billed a large fee for the reading of the ultrasound in addition to the large fee for the hip ultrasound procedure. Rocky Mountain Pediatric OrthoONE was less than 1/2 of the price of what we paid at Children's Hospital and we had a much better experience with Dr. Heinzen. While we likely do not have to come back to see Dr. Heinzen again, I have to say (and I don't say this often after Dr. appts) we would love to come back and see him in the future because we truly enjoyed our appointment and interactions so much with him. Thank you Dr. Heinzen and Rocky Mountain Pediatric OrthoONE, we will highly recommend you to our friends who need Pediatric Orthopedic Care here in Denver!
