Los Dos Potrillos Mexican Restaurant - Highlands Ranch

We love coming here! The menu is extensive as far as food and drinks. Service is always friendly. You can just enjoy a burrito or have a combo with steak and poached egg over the top. Margaritas are always going to be sticky, but tables and menus are kept as clean as possible. To go service is super fast and they've got that system down.

Simply the best Mexican place in Colorado.

The food was good but we went during lunchtime and there is no lunch menu. Quite disappointed that there was only dinner size/priced plates available during the lunch hour. I had carne asada my go-to Mexican dish. It was okay, definitely not the best I’ve had, but had decent flavor.nnThe service was good. The waiter was attentive and kind. The chips and salsa provided while waiting for the food had a little heat and decent flavor.

Authentic and homemade and delicious. I can't remember the name of the dish but I had the skirt steak in the jalapeño and tomato sauce and I loved it! A rich and deep sauce with the right amount of heat. I will definitely be back for their barbacoa taco special. My only critique would be on service. Our waiter seemed like he could care less, to be honest. But the food was so good I still give it 5 stars!
