Hogback BBQ & Grill

Truly a neighborhood joint, unpretentious, watched people walk up to pick up their food, everyone knew everyone, and the place smelled amazing. We ordered to go and sat outside with super cold beers as we waited. My husband ordered the ribs, I ordered the chicken sandwich and we split a small order of chicken wings. WOW the wings especially were amazing, smoked with a spicy buffalo sauce, my husband loved his ribs, and he's picky, we both enjoyed our meals. So happy to have found a really good BBQ place nearby.

this place has definitely changed in the past year. we love the staff and have to say that these wings are some of the best in town. we do wish they were open later for dinner but definitely understand due to the pandemic!

This place is awesome. The ribs and wings are the best entres on the menu, and their green chili smothered cheese fries are also incredible. I've been to BBQ restaurants all over the country, but this place is hands down the best I've had. I have to say, humbly, it's even better than the BBQ I make.

We were hungry and ordered appetizers and a meal each of us. It was a lot of food but all was delicious and hot. Just like you expect. Nice southern recipes and flavors. Great local joint.

I ordered two half racks of baby back ribs. I ordered Carolina and original, (I thought the rubs were different). Both of them were scorched (charred) and burned, I ate the small ends of one and the skin was so tough it was like jerky, almost as dry too. I had to use a knife to cut them apart. I thought the other 1/2 rack would be better and tried them (to no avail).I decided to call and talk to Scott to tell him about my disappointment, he told me to bring back the ribs (that I hadn't eaten) and they would evaluate them. Once I arrived he took the ribs back to the kitchen and returned saying don't worry we'll give you another 1/2 rack of ribs back. He gave me the half rack and I drove home. The replacement ribs were better, however there was no accounting for my 25 minute round trip drive, (one would have thought he might have thrown in a small side of beans to compensate for the inconvenience). No accounting for the other half rack that I had eaten, that were so dry. I would not have written this review except this is the 3rd time in a row that I've had ribs that were overcooked or dry, however these were the driest of the three. It's too bad too, the crew is great, the food is tasty, just was so disappointed to have ribs there were so dry, more than just one time.
