Absolutely delicious. I am not s huge taco fan but this place was amazing. I got a chicken quesadilla, fantastic and stuff with tons of delicious chicken! Also had a steak and chorizo taco that was so delicious, I ordered a second one. Margaritas were also great. Had a classic and the Kona both super tasty. Kona is a little sweet if you like that kind of drink I would highly recommended it. Server and hostess were both extremely polite and friendly. Will most definitely return on my next trip to Denver

Absolutely loved this place! Thank you for making my first night in Denver great! I came in last minute thinking they closed at 11 but the close at 10 on thursdays. Their tacos were amazing and meat very well seasoned. I felt really bad after I realized I came in close to closing time but they were so sweet and gave me great service besides the matter. Will definitely return next time I’m in town.

Great food! I ordered six incredibly stuffed tacos, that’s how good they were. The cuitlacoche quesadillas were also a favorite of mine. (Cuiltacoche is a kind of corn fungus that tastes very earthy and good!) My least favorite was the puerco pibil, but that’s just a personal preference and not because of anything the chefs did.

We went to this restaurant for the first & last time on Sept 2020. We wanted to go because of the delicious looking pictures they had advertised on their Google Maps page. This is an example of a restaurant that must have had a “leave us a great review for a free drink campaign” or something because what the reviews are saying and what is reality are two different world entirely! Here’s the truth:nnTRUTH:nThough the staff is friendly, what people go tonrestaurants for is ambiance and, above all, great food.nnAMBIANCE:nThey were playing mostly terrible rap music the entire time - it felt uncomfortable and chaotic. At least have rap that has some Spanish words in it if you’re going to go that direction. Also, it’s so loud that sitting outside is your only option if you want to have any conversation without having to raise your voice or yell.nnFOOD:nFirst, we orders chips and salsa (because the pictures of it looked great), however, with much disappointment, the chips were very, very hard and lacked flavor. The chips were basically a chore to eat since we just paid $5 for them. The salsa was not anything special either. I think they may have done better serving plain PACE Salsa instead of whatever they gave us - and yes - we tried all 4 of their main flavors.nnSecondly, we tried the queso + chorizo. Now, this was doomed from the start just because of the terrible chips, but dang, I didn’t think a ‘Mexican’ restaurant could make queso dip badly - though, unfortunately, my expectations of what I thought were possible was shattered. The queso is not scoopable & it’s like they were trying to pick a cheese that had the least amount of flavor as possible. I seriously could not believe it! Imagine melting down a white string cheese in the microwave at home - that’s basically what you’re getting. The chorizo on it was the only redeeming aspect of the dip. Again, don’t buy this - it’s terrible, absolutely terrible.nnLastly, the tacos are definitely not worth what they charge you - AND you can get a better tasting taco full of flavor at a dang Taco Bell - and that’s really, really sad. They don’t have many options for those of us who love various chicken tacos (look at their menu and you’ll see what I mean). Also, if someone is paying on average $5 for a single taco, it better be incredible - Machete Tequila + Tacos’ food was anything but incredible.nnSUMMARY:nDon’t waste your money at this restaurant. Perhaps they lost a cook that knew what they were doing from the shutdowns due to the pandemic, but seriously, their pictures on their Google site are way more attractive than when you’re eating the food. Such a huge letdown!!!
