Royal Hilltop

First of all, I am only giving this place more than one star because we have had good food here in the past. However, lately it has really gone downhill. It usually arrives late to the table because the waitress seems to be less interested in serving her customers than gabbing with the regulars. Don't you dare tell her that the food was less than up to expectations. She will get all bent out of shape and tell you that she doesn't set the prices.... several times. Not the brightest bulb in the pack. We asked her to bring the cook out. He came out and insisted that the amount of meat on my sandwich was their standard and has been that was for all 4 years that he has been there. It was a total lie. I have had the same sandwich there before. Way more meat. He claimed it was 4 ounces (which is also a joke for a $14 Reuben. Seriously? The bread slices were actually touching one-another at the corners. Ha! Oh, be careful not to use your bar voice, little miss sensitive waitress will ask you to leave. It's too bad. We had high hopes for this place. We had been coming here for lunch twice a week for the past 3+ weeks because it is close to home. No longer. Too bad for them. We spend. Avoid this place if you can.

Good selections on their menu. Haven't found one I didn't like it. Also good selection of beers. Something for everyone.

This is a nice place to eat some great food. Also has a nice atmosphere. I order the salmon entree and bangers and mash for the hubby. Salmon was of course so yummy. The bangers and mash was overpowering with salt. I thought my hubby was overreacting but a small taste of sauerkraut was super salty. I ended up drinking lots of water to get the salt out. My only complaint fix the sauerkraut.

If I could give this 10 stars, I would. That was the best meal we've had in a looooong time! The drinks were perfect and both my red pepper chicken sandwich meal and my fiancée black and blue mussels were to die for. I'm picky about my Bloody Mary's and theirs is amazing. Same with the ranch, perfect with the salad and for dipping their yummy skinny fries!! Our cook was Dillon who we got to compliment in person and the waitress was attentive, quick, and friendly as well. Seriously, this is our new favorite spot. Great job y'all!

Pretty good rotating beer taps and the appetizers are always delicious! Fried mushrooms are my favorite! Great place for a small happy hour gathering!
