Black-eyed Pea

Well .... It is what it is and it isn't what it isn't. It is an old school southern comfort food restaurant with mammoth portion sizes, lots of breaded/fried foods as well as bbq and sweet tea ... All served by a very pleasant wait staff and with very reasonable prices. It isn't light, health conscious or innovative but it doesn't claim to be. If you go in hoping to gorge yourself of southern fried food with an ocean of sweet tea then you have picked the right spot. I tried to eat a small meal. I ordered a half order of mushrooms and a half order of potato skins ... I couldn't finish them and I am a big eater . I mean if that's a half order then who is the full size order meant for ... an army? $20 for tea, cup of soup (too full to eat), half size mushroom and half size skins. Pretty darn cheap.

Great food and environment. Food is like down home cooking. Servers had a great attitude and we're very responsive. We are coming back for sure. Stay safe.

Awesome food and staff

Hate to be Scrooge but we did our part and ordered from a restaurant as we know how depleted the industry is. My wife just waited for our food we ordered days ago with a pick up time of noon for over an hour! I understand it’s probably busy but good business practice is under promise and over deliver not vice versa..ugh- Thanksgiving dinner still waiting...

Fantastic service, food was good, and the place was well organized to meet protocols. My only suggestion to the company would be to create a checklist to leave on the table that listed all condiments needed. Its a little embarrassing to keep having to ask for one more thing because you don't realize what's missing from your table.
