Very conflicted about this place. Long story short they sold me an animal that was infested with coccidia. I purchased a baby bearded dragon from them and after having him for under a week he completely stopped eating And I was having to force feed him to make sure he was still getting nutrition. Finally was able to get into a vet to get him looked at and it turns out the reason he wasn't eating was because he had an absolutely RAGING case of coccidia in the vets words. I was told he was a perfectly healthy baby when i got him.nafter he stopped eating I called back probably six or seven times asking for advice to get him eating. unfortunately I was a new beauty owner and did not know that this could be a problem nor was I told that I should get him checked on. (It also turns out that the information I was given about bearded dragons lighting from them and heat was also severely incorrect so he had incorrect lighting and heat for about a week).nAfter speaking with the vet with how severe his case was, it was not possible that he developed this on his own or got it from his feeders especially because the majority of what he had been eating came from their store and not outside feeders, So like most cases, he got it from being in a cage with other baby bearded dragons who had it (they keep all their babies together. Which apparently most pet stores in the country do which is why upwards of 50% of babies have coccidia).nOnce I got this diagnosis I immediately called them back and was hoping to get some sort of reimbursement or store credit as there was now $130 vet bill, as well as over $70 worth of decorations and rugs and hammocks that had to be completely thrown out that could not be saved because of the parasites. All of which could have been prevented if they had warned us about this or let us know. when I called back he offered to take the animal back which I of course did not want to do because he is my baby, and he ended up giving me $40 worth of store credit which was better than nothing but also frustrating as that was only half the cost of the dragon and not nearly enough to cover everything that had to be thrown out because I was given a sick baby. very frustrating to have gone through all of this knowing it could have been prevented if they first had told us that he was sick or at least told us that this was something common that we should have gotten him checked out for. Glad that I was able to get a bit of credit even though it was not close to the price of what had to be repurchased and dealt with due to this infestation of parasites that he got while in their care.
