I went into one of my go-to stores for business casuals (specifically slacks) in hopes that they carried jeans with the same stretch and fit as their slacks. Good news, I found several pair! BAD NEWS I was followed and harassed by the two saleswomen on the floor so often that I had no choice but to leave the store without purchasing those pants and a few sweaters that I really wanted. I'm sure by the description of my experience you can guess my skin color. Do better Ann Taylor (Fashion Valley). I was the only person followed and harassed, but not the only person in a very small ...not ok

I recently went shopping here with my mom. We made a very large purchase of many different items. One of the items I bought we a pair of light pink pants. The fabric was like a soft suede that I’ve never seen. When I washed them (with other light colors on delicate), something was off about the pants and the color bled into concentrated areas on the pants (it was the same color as the pants were made of, it just turned a little darker in areas). And that color didn’t transfer to any of my other clothes so I know it was already in the pants.nI tried washing them again (alone), but they didn’t go back to normal. I took them back into the store to ask if I could exchange for another pair (which they still had stock of), and they were very snooty, saying that I could not exchange them and basically accusing me of lying and saying that “I must have washed them with something red”, which was not the case.nI’ve never been treated like that before in a retail store. I feel like they should have given me, the customer, the benefit of the doubt and retained a customer instead of their small profit from one pair of pants. They were a whole lot friendlier when we were adding items to our purchase the first visit. The rest of the clothing is nice, but I have an $80 pair of pants that I got to wear once and the feeling of getting snubbed.
