Skagit Valley Hospital

Last week I broke my wrist and was taken to Skagit Valley hospital emergency room. After taking x-rays, Dr. Wallace was able to massage the area around the broken bone, realign the two pieces and put a cast on the arm. The x-rays after the procedure looked almost perfect. Dr. Wallace then recommended that I see an orthopedist in my area when I returned home for further treatment. A couple of days later I was able to get an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon, who said I wouldn't need surgery because of the great realignment job Dr. Wallace did. I feel really fortunate that I was seen by Dr. Wallace, he was kind, gentle and extremely skilled. The staff at the ER were also wonderful. I was in the best care with all of them.

I was in the hospital for two days and I was taking such good care of. The nurses and Cara team were very kind and knew what they were doing. My doctor was fabulous. I can’t say enough about this place. I had my own room with my own bathroom and TV. I actually felt a little spoiled.

Went in Weds morning to get a rapid Covid test done at the ER at 4am as they are doing them 24/7 for work. From the moment I went in (only one other patient in the waiting area) was given prompt and very friendly and professional service. From the lady behind the check in desk to the assistant Jeremy to Dr Laursen who saw me and the woman at the registration desk who saw me after the testing was over, not one time did I get any kind of attitude or a quick service that would seem to want to push me out as fast as possible and treat me like a number versus an actual patient. I can say I have never had as a positive experience in my life with any ER like I did Weds morning. The entire process from the moment I walked in to when I left was around 48 minutes. Very very impressed with the ER at Skagit Valley.

I never want to go back I had a stint put in and before they put me out some guy named Trevor was complaining about shaving my groin I was embarrassed and angry . my surgery took 2 hours longer because of my moving around. I could,see why looked like my,groin area jab been chopped had cuts everywhere and hurt. Well Trevor I would love to return the favor for you see how you feel

My family will never go to this one again. I had the worst/darkest time in my life there. We were not treated with dignity and professionalism. They were not willing to listen nor checking for understanding and acceptance. The impatient and reckless nurse forced a catheter for urine sample regardless our concern for infection. Then we were rushed out of there without informed test results and clear discharge instruction. When we had to go back there to treat UTI caused by the catheter, patient was mistreated and had a stroke, then was abandoned and neglected in the room. All the treatment plan including UTI were stopped and canceled. The doctor refused to talk and see the patient, we had to go home for safety. The hospital only remarked as “AMA” without telling the truth. Their harsh, careless, negligent practice and false communication led to a wrongful death. Life was worthless to them. It was a traumatic experience and will take life time for me to heal if ever.
