TL;DR: Terrific beer selection, great food. Would recommend.nnParkway Tavern is in our Top 5 best places to chill out on a Friday night in Tacoma for sure (that's very specific, I know). My girlfriend & I frequent local bars w/ our friends pretty consistently & they've never disappointed. The staff is kind & helpful when you just need a suggestion (or to make a joke), it's always clean, there's adequate seating, & if you're lucky.. You can just walk outside if you need to pat a dog. Dream come true!nnHopefully they open back up after Pandemic Apocalypse 2020 b/c I'd love to taste some delicious dark local beers...

I've only eaten here a few times, usually come for the beer (great selection) and awesome pub environment. Great and helpful staff too!
Fantastic! Easy to order, easy to pick up, and definitely easy to overeat. I had the Pie with beef and could have eaten the entire thing myself.
I would never encourage drinking when you're going through hard times. But hey, if I hadn't been able to walk down to Parkway a few days a week during one of the hardest times of my life, I don't know where I would be right now. Not better, I assure you. Great Tacoma atmosphere. Always a great selection of beers. The best staff and even if you don't talk to anyone, you feel at home. I live in Olympia now but try and get back as much as possible to have a beer and be at a place that feels like it's mine. Thanks friends!
