Ardesson's Shoe Repair & New Shoes

A very friendly shop where you can find top end, quality shoes. They do great work also in shoe repair. Parking is easily found. If you need quality, comfortable , well fitting shoes, you should definitely give this shop a chance to serve you .

Us and friends have bought many shoes here over the last 10 years. The staff has always been friendly and helpful, and the shoes have always been reasonably priced for the quality. Then Covid hit. I understand if you don't want to read the whole story, short version is that the store is not currently complying with WA state health regulations concerning Covid precautions.nnA few weeks ago:nSo when we went into the store a few weeks ago it had been nearly 8 months since last visit. The shoe price and quality is still the same, but sadly the staff's attitude has soured. Me and a friend went in, with masks on of course, and rather quickly were confronted by an older staff member (he had a mask on too thankfully) who wanted to share his opinion on why he believes masks are unnecessary. We let him talk himself out, then kindly explained to him that we respected his view but that we also want to do everything in our power to keep us and our neighbors safe. That's when we informed him that a close family member is undergoing chemo treatment for cancer and is severely immunocompromised. Funny that he had a change of heart on the subject once he heard that... Afterwards we just continued shopping and kind of forgot about it.nnThis week:nUnfortunately, when we drove back to the shop to purchase another pair of shoes, we got a surprise when we drove up to the front window. Inside we could see him behind the counter, no mask, talking with a younger staff member also behind the counter, no mask, and they were both talking to a couple customers who did have masks on. We sat there in the car for a few minutes just hoping that maybe they forgot to put their masks on and were about to grab them but no change, so we drove on. Red Wing had nice selection of shoes that day thankfully. Hoping the next time we check in things will be different. If they are, I will definitely change my star rating here on this review.

Love the personal service of a small business. Always happy with our shoe repairs. Love to shop their clearance table and their regular inventory too. Comfort, high quality brands like Klog, Aetrex and Taos to name a few. Appreciate their rewards program too!

Very patient, (usually busy because they're awesome!) and helpful. Have had 6+ plus pairs of construction boots resoled/ toe caps, and have saved me well over 1000$ dollar in replacement cost alone!! They Rock!!
