This bar is my “home of bars.” The owner, and all of the staff, are incredibly down to earth people. They’re kind, and make genuine conversation with patrons. I love sharing stories, and the people who go to this bar are a group in themselves. So many wonderful people. The drink selection is awesome, and the bartenders are very talented in their own right. This place is welcoming to every age group and people from every walk of life. Discrimination isn’t tolerated.nThis place is also great in its atmosphere. I myself tend to get overstimulated by bars with loud music, flashing lights, loud people, etc, and this place is even welcoming to people with sensory issues. People have fun but they don’t get rowdy, the music is always a decent volume, and the decor is low light but pleasant.
Mule Tavern is one of the better bars in Tacoma because it has a nice, relaxed atmosphere and because it's drinks -mostly relying upon the homemade ginger beer- are excellent. If you like ginger beer at all this is the place to be. They do excellent take home stuff. I reccomend picking up a growler full of the ginger beer, the lemon sour mix, and the boozy cherries for your home bar.
Ginger beer and tonic made from scratch in house! The owner Sam and his team make an effort to get to know you and your go to drink. Back patio is nice and well lit, perfect for some catching up with a friend.
Great establishment! Really nice vibe and great drinks to boot!
