The turkey was 5 lobs larger than I ordered but it ended up well worth the cost. After defrosting it looked very lean so the desired to brine it. It remained tasty and moist after cooking for 3 hours. Unfortunately we had no family over because of the pandemic so lots of creative leftover dishes will follow. Definitely will order another one from Ramstead next year.

Ramstead Ranch,nWe would like to say thank you for all you where able to do for our family this year. We reached out to you around the end of October in search of a whole lamb for our holiday dinner dishes we make every year. My wife and her family are from Norway and they have traditional Norwegian dishes they’ve made for generations. Although finding what we need to make these dishes is not something you can just go to the market and pick up. I know this because I spent 30 years in the meat industry and know what is needed to make them the best way possible, and unless you can start with a whole lamb you’re not able to make the dishes how they were made throughout the past generations with the family.nAfter talking with Eileen she was more than helpful in getting this order put together for us. She was able to have it aged to perfection for us even before it was delivered for pick up. That way when getting it home I was able to cut it up and start making our holiday dishes we so enjoy each year. The quality of the lamb is just outstanding compared to what you would find at a standard retail outlet. The pork chops were wonderful!nI was really surprised when I unwrapped the ham hocks. They were huge & full of flavor.nThe bacon is the best I’ve ever had!!!nSo convenient to have The Ranch close by.

Eileen is so cool, kind, and respectful of her animals and customers alike. What a great place to source local, humanely raised meat. Very fair prices for the quality.

Eileen has been wonderful with her informative emails. I love the selection of cuts of everything that is available. Not everyone wants a large order. I don’t have the room.nIt is great to know where your meat and poultry come from and to support someone local. So fresh and great tasting! Thank you Ramstead Ranch!
