I stopped into this shop and asked for some advice on a kite that fit my skill and budget. Low skill and something of quality that I could also fly without a lot of practice.nI was shown a wide range of products and given a good description of pros and cons. No pressure to buy or up selling.nThe kite worked out great!

On the way to the beach last week, I decided kite-flying sounded like a good way to spend some family time. I stopped in to Wind World and spent some time talking with Ron. He asked about experience levels, skill levels, typical flying sites (especially around home - when we are not on a ‘sandy beach’ vacation), and such. He recommended a ‘soft’ aerobatic kite and an intermediate level, more aerobatic ‘frame’ kite. Both turned out to be perfect for our situation. The soft, aerobatic kite (a Prism Synapse 140) was crashed (hard) dozens of times by beginner flyers and survived that abuse without a single problem. It is also quite aerobatic. The other kite is a Prism Jazz and, after I refreshed my skill set on the Synapse, the Jazz was a blast.

Such a good selection of kites for all abilities. I bought my easy breezy pocket kite, drove two blocks and had her up in no time. Was a colorful fun place.

Purchased a nice $100 kite on vacation, the first time we flew it (in mild wind, at Long Beach) the fabric ripped making it unable to fly. Went in to the store and told them of the manufacturer’s error, and was told “We don’t do returns, we can’t help you.” Way to stand by your product! The man behind the counter wasn’t apologetic or even offered to fix it up for us (a needle and thread could have fixed this, but we were on vacation and didn’t have that with us.) Stay away from businesses like this who don’t back their product or care about their customers!!!
