I had a flower delivery for my uncle who is in C11. I called and asked how to send the flowers and balloons his room. A lady at the nurses station stated that I can send them to the hospital. She did not give me a phone number or extention for the delivery driver to call when he arrived. We'll he arrived to deliver the flowers and balloons and I called 5 times and ask them to send someone down to pick it up and the delivery driver waited for over 30 minutes and no one came to get the delivery. If you can't even pick up a delivery then how do I know your taking care of my uncle. Im so upset that your staff is so incompetent that they can't go and pick up flowers and ballons for my uncle.

I moved and have been attached to four different VA hospitals since I went to this one, and I wish I knew what I had before it was gone. This is the best VA I’ve ever been to. This is the only decent VA facility I’ve ever been to. The women’s clinic was really great. Dr. R was the sweetest and most genuinely caring doctor ever. The mental health department was also great in the couple of chronic pain therapy sessions I did. Everyone was great with referrals, appointments and medication prescriptions/refills. None of these positive attributes exist in other VA hospitals, I wish Fresno’s quality of care existed in Arizona. Parking sucks.

The ROI (Release of Information) staff located downstairs in the Fresno VA basement could use a little more training and improved public etiquette. I kept getting different answers to the same question from different employees. Two of them were very supportive, but when I asked another worker a pertinent benefits question, her response was too personal, rude and demeaning, to say the least. As a disabled Viet Nam veteran, I expected better service and more respect than this individual portrayed. I then called the Palo Alto VA ROI office who responded more professionally.

I was very impressed with this VA. The staff is friendly and helpful and wait times are fairly short. Very efficient, especially considering it's still a VA.
