Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar

I made a 10 PM reservation. The parking was very confusing so my date dropped me off in front of the restaurant by 10:05. The manager sat me. My server came over to Bring waters, ask about drinks and, let me know last call would be in five minutes. By 10:10 the same manager approached my table to let me know if my my date did not arrive inside the restaurant by 10:15 then he would have to cancel my reservation. I stated that I made a 10 o’clock reservation and I didn’t realize it would be a problem in which he responded the restaurant actually closes at 10o’clock but he still didn’t give a clear explanation as to why they would book a table for the same time the restaurant closes. He asked me if I knew what he wanted to order and how far he was. I explained he was simply parking the car and I’m not sure how complicated it is to find parking there. (The restaurant is at a hotel but doesn’t have valet? So parking then walking takes a couple minutes) as I was going to collect my things and leave the restaurant the manager moved closer to the table blocking my exit from the booth, just eagerly asking me if I knew what he wanted to order. This would’ve been both of our first time there so neither of us knew yet what we wanted to order. He repeated again something about a restaurant policy and that he could place an order for me now but it has to be before 10:15. I insisted that it was all right and I’m happy to leave as I don’t want to be rushed simply to order. The whole idea in booking a reservation is to ensure a restaurant has time to serve you, this was embarrassing, disappointing and definitely upsetting to my date who had a busy day And was looking forward to a good steak. I heard great things about this restaurant but there are far too many steak houses in the DMV to ever tolerate service such as what I experienced yesterday. Luckily we went over to Georgetown and stayed where there were plenty of restaurants open late that actually have scenic views.

My husband and I celebrated our 22nd year Anniversary dinner at Fleming's and it was SPECTACULAR!!! From the moment we entered the restaurant, we were congratulated by the staff, our waiter was fabulous! Greeting us by name, chatting and serving us an amazing dinner! Talk about feeling special! I highly recommend this restaurant, not just for their excellent customer service, but the food was to die for! Well done and thank you so very much for making our celebration extra special!!

I admire this restaurant! They give awesome meals, their menu is rich, The cook in that spot is very experienced, I love very much tasting all their food. The dishes are always good, the service towards the guests is efficient. I frequently visit this restaurant and I not even once was unhappy. I recommend it to all.

The customer service was incredible. We came to the restaurant on short notice and was seated immediately. The original restaurant we planned on attending in the area canceled our reservation because it was overbooked. However, we called Flemings and we were able to make a reservation. From the greeters to the servers, everyone made us feel welcomed and also foolish for making a reservation anywhere else. The food was excellent and any future plans we had of ordering food from the restaurant quickly changed to dining in. Easily a 7/5

Food was delicious, as to be expected for this type of restaurant. Service was ok - not as attentive as we would have wanted. Highly recommend making a reservation. There is no valet parking. it can be confusing to park, considering it's next to a hotel, and the hotel has most of the spaces reserved. Ambiance was low key and fancy. Restrooms were clean.
