Inova Urgent Care - South Arlington

Does anyone competent work here? If so they were off the day I tried to visit. Very rude nurse greeted me. Was very condescending. There are a lot of new procedures for covid not documented anywhere but you are expected to know them. Just don’t go here. It’s not the experience you want when you feel poor and probably not great care either based on what I saw.

It is rare for me to review anything, though I had such a great experience, that I felt it would be wrong to NOT write this. Tonight around 6:30 I visited this urgent care that is very close to where I live. 10 days ago I was stung by a yellow jacket and the swelling has gotten worse each day and the itching is making me lose my mind. At lunchtime I went to Ballston Urgent Care and was told they were not seeing anymore patients. They sent me to Inova N. Arlington, where I was told they were only seeing patients with respiratory symptoms. They told me I could go to S. Arlington, but I had to be in the office by 2:00 and gave up. I decided to call this urgent care in the afternoon and was told by a very nice woman that getting me in after work would not be a problem and to call when I got there. I arrived sometime after 6:00. The woman who took the call (I believe she was at the front desk) was warm, welcoming and put me at ease as I was frustrated by both my earlier experience and the discomfort from the bite. She went through all of the regular intake questions and then told me to sit tight and a nurse would call. The nurse called and was wonderful. We did some more intake over the telephone and then she came to get me for my exam. I am so upset I did not get this nurse's name, or the nice person at the front desk. My nurse was awesome--kind, patient, and she didn't know that I had not had the best experience or the best day. We talked about a few things and shared a few laughs. She was SO pleasant. I can't imagine the pressure and fears that those working in hospitals and urgent cares must feel, but you would not have known this from her demeanor. She was just so nice. The doctor came in very shortly thereafter. I saw Dr. Javan and he was gentle, understanding my concerns over antibiotics (which I still had to go on) and he quickly got my prescriptions in as the pharmacy was closing soon. We're living in a time when people are impatient, tired of dealing with this wretched pandemic, hot (at least recently) and anxious. The folks at Inova Urgent Care in South Arlington were honestly so nice I walked away wishing they were not an urgent care but rather a doctor's office because they would have a new patient. Worst doctors ever I popped my knee they told me to ice it and wear a brace they gave me and when I went to a specialist they told me I dislocated my knee cap and tore my Acl missed football for 2 years.

When I requested to speak to a supervisor regarding the determination about my insurance coverage, the attendant hit me with the “um, I’ve been working here for years and I’ve never heard of your insurance.” I didn’t ask that. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I’ve never been spoken to like this by a front desk worker at a medical facility. I can’t comment on the quality of care because I wasn’t given any. This review is specifically in regards to customer service.
