Because I want to ride a train. And see a real coal mine and town.
Nice historic trip. Fun train ride, but the single stop with the 2 hour wait before the return trip was a bit disappointing. Should be better when they reopen the Blue Heron stop. It would give you a bit more to do.
Love trains and old things
Everything was closed. Looks like for possibly a while now. Broken windows in this place and then the stores across the street were pretty sketchy looking. Luckily they were all closed so I didn't need to bring out my knife. When you looked in the windows of the stores, there were still Christmas decorations out. I don't know what happened at Christmas but it looks like some pretty bad s*** went down. Stuff was knocked down, looks like it was vacated in a hurry; there was broken pieces of strings of Christmas lights all over the place the sidewalk everywhere. Like Freddy Kruger came to town and just started slicing and dicing everyone's Christmas dreams. Pretty weird.
