Whiskey Tango

We went there thinking it was a dive bar, hence the name, we were wrong. We walked into a cute, quaint, old squeaky floor bar/ restaurant. We only ordered a few beers, and a Moscow mule, by the way the mule was delicious! James was an excellent server, we had the Korean cauliflower for an appetizer. IT WAS TO DIE FOR! Will definitely be back! Highly recommend this place! Enjoy!

Stopped in today for a bite to eat. Their food is amazing!! My friend and I were so impressed. She got the pineapple wings and I got the pulled pork nachos. Everything was so good. They have a fantastic chief. The salsa is fresh and homemade. Prices were reasonable. Service was very fun and friendly. Next time we are going back for food and drinks!

Last weekend, my date and I came to this bar during a short trip to Hood River. My date (a black man) had his mask partially on and was politely asked by the bartender to make sure it is on fully while away from our table at all times, and respectably he complied.nRight after we ordered our drinks, we looked over and noticed a man(Caucasian) standing in the same spot we were, without a mask on at all. This man stood there for 3-5 minutes conversing with the bartender without a mask.nAs soon as my date saw this, he immediately blamed the color of his skin, and his sadness was evident throughout the rest of our time there. We chose not to say anything, and left as soon as we finished our first round of drinks. (We were prepared to get a few)nUnfortunately this was the first bar we walked into during our trip and we found ourselves anxious walking into every other facility for the rest of our time in Hood River.nI do not or at least hope that this was not the intention of the bartender, but I'm writing this in hopes that the bartenders are made aware that during such a sensitive time in our nation about this topic, even little differences in treatment such as our experience, can affect others more than they would ever know. I pray this review helps to avoid another person feeling the way my date did.nWe were really excited to check this place out because of the name, and unfortunately left very disappointed.nSHOUTOUT TO THE SUBTERRANEAN restaurant for making us feel at home and helping us turn our moods around.nThank you for your time.

I was very impressed with the drink I ordered ( I’m normally just a shot kinda gal ) I chose to try the diablo de Oaxaca - I like tequila - this really hid the tequila and has a smoke flavor in it that is so unique.nnVery impressed with my experience late afternoon.
