"Tiny bit of a letdown. The food was good, not great. I had the duck tacos, which I had to assemble myself. Not a huge deal, but wasn't what I was expecting." - Words from Another Googler I would have to mimic that statement, but making my own taco wasn't a biggie. I've had authentic duck tacos in my day in South America and was expecting something similar from such a high-class establishment. The duck tacos are not recommended, but I enjoyed my wife's steak. The pesto on the steak was a great addition I've never thought of, but truly enjoyed. The service here was great! I'd give 4/5 stars based on service. The food for price (value) would be a 2/5 stars on my end. Atmosphere is a solid 4/5 stars as well. Definitely would suggest the steak over the tacos, but that's just my opinion. Cheers

Fabulous drinks! Great ambience. Great service, especially from our bartender. This was my second time there ( we are locals ) I took one of my managers there for a business dinner/meeting/dinner. The food was amazing! Our server was okay, but should probably get some coaching for serving in a restaurant as this establishment. I am more than happy to pay a high price for the ambience and a good meal in service. Fine dining is an experience. Management should train their servers on how to work in a fine dining establishment. Overall, we are very pleased with everything. The food was fantastic. Thank you so much for being here. The atmosphere in the lounge, and your bartender is phenomenal!

An excellent newer restaurant in the Saint George area. Menu built around the idea of sharing plates, all the items we tried were wonderful. Service was attentive without being annoying. Short but decent wine list with good price coverage. Not an inexpensive place but food quality is really top notch. Room is nice. Note that restaurant parking is $5 if you can't find a spot on street which you should be able to do if you are willing to walk maybe a block or two.

Tiny bit of a letdown. The food was good, not great. I had the duck tacos, which I had to assemble myself. Not a huge deal, but wasn't what I was expecting. The watermelon and pork belly appetizer was really tasty... as long as you ate those two ingredients separately. There was definitely a flair of "trendy" in their meals and ingredients, which can be hit or miss, and in the case of the watermelon/pork belly, it didn't seem that all the ingredients worked quite so well together. I heard so much about the biscuits, and yet when mine came out, you could tell they had just been re-heated because their center was very cold. I would try this place again, however with different food selections. The potential is there, however my first experience left me disappointed.

We love wood.ash.rye! They have great food, fun cocktails and a great atmosphere. The service is superb as well. We go as often as we can and enjoy that they have a seasonal menu. You will not regret a trip to WAR.
