Fantastic shop with a great selection. They have a ton of great local artists. The manager knows her stuff and is very helpful. Knit group is highly recommended as well, they are lovely. I stop by whenever I have the chance to visit Los Alamos. They will also do some mail order as well! Cannot recommend highly enough.

While visiting Los Alamos, we happened upon this absolutely charming store. It was really inviting and well organized. The manager who was working there was very helpful. We actually stayed for their knitting circle and while I don't really do anything with fiber I could tell my wife was having a great time; I also didn't feel excluded even though I wasn't participating in making anything.

I've been to Close Knit Yarn Coop about 5-6 times in the last year. Mary is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. The selection of yarns is excellent for a small shop including a variety of local yarns. There are also plenty of notions. She will order yarn for you too if necessary. It's a great LYS and if you are visiting Los Alamos I recommend stopping in!
