The food was really good, just took a while to get to us. I am a server, I would have appreciated anyone checking on us and acknowledging the wait was long. This would have bumped my rating.

Enjoyed eating and drinking with family and friends. This must be a local favorite, judging from the clientele. I will come here again when I return to Colorado. We had a good time here.

Went with my wife on 1/15/21 drove 90 miles to try the slopper for lunch. The food was good, the servers were fantastic. What totally ruined the experience was having to listen to the language of the cooks, which was totally uncalled for. No reason that customers need hear about how a guy wants to F a girl, or how good their A looks in explicit terms. I would never bring a family here with kids nor would I ever come here again, I think Howard Stern speaks of females in more respectful terms than the kitchen staff did, if I am not mistaken it was the cook in the black shirt.

It’s been about 7 years since I’ve been here and I still dream about The Slopper. I was riding bicycles across the country with a friend when we ran into a stranger on top of Monarch pass.nnHe told us we had to stop here and we must order The Slopper. We took his advice and it did not disappoint. The beers were cold and the food was great.nnI also remember the service being real and friendly. It was places like this that made our adventure a life changer.

Beef tacos on corn one of my favorites. The red chili beef enchiladas were on point, very good. The ice cold schooners made it a perfect Sunday afternoon.
