Cleveland Clinic - Lutheran Hospital

This hospital does not deserve to be considered a hospital. They operated on the WRONG finger of a person. This is absurd and completely unacceptable. The place is only run by nurses it is impossible to find an actual doctor to care for you. I don't know how this hospital manages to exist.

Since the middle of October, I've had seven (7) appointments at the Lutheran wound clinic, dealing with a leg infection. Everyone in the wound clinic; from the woman at the desk, to the nurses & doctors, were very nice, helpful and professional. I would also like to mention that I use a wheel chair, so my wife would drop me & my chair off in front of the hospital entrance. On each and every visit, a man wearing a Valet jacket, would greet us, help my wife un-load the wheelchair, and push me into the building while my wife parked our Jeep across the street. After my appointment, this same Valet would see my wife's car pulling up, would push me outside, hold the chair still while I got into the car, and then help my wife lift the chair into the car. This Valet was one of the nicest people a patient would hope to meet. His friendly attitude & helpfulness did not go un-noticed.

My mother had knee surgery today. I went with my sister to deliver her clothes and a walker!nnSince I wasn’t the guest list I waits happily in the lobby to edit got my sister,nnWhile waiting I watched the painful interactions of the front desk staff who were most often rude to people trying to get care.nnOne man s as led for a pen snd despite there bring a large assortment of pens near the blue phone they refused to let him use one because of “COVID.” I lent the gentleman my pen and quietly sanitized it after he returned it to me.nnA lady came in asking for the ER and she was misdirected to a chair in the waiting room.nnShe saw other folks going through the double doors to the emergency room and asked me if I thought that was the emergency room and I told her I believe it is. So she did walk through the double doors and get the care she needed. The front desk never followed up to make sure that she was going to be OK.nnAnd a another thing that I saw a lot of was people at the front desk being rude to people who came in the wrong door by accident the young lady would tell them oh that is not the entrance at the exit and she was very rude to them.nnIn conclusion, this is a front desk staff for a hospital where compassion and kindness for your fellow human should reign,nnIf I had been in charge of human resources in this hospital these people would be gone by now ...I am embarrassed that Cleveland allow such behavior to happen in a hospital.

I do not recommend their emergency department. I had to come here on a weekend as i had no access to my primary care physician. They ran a number of incorrect tests that had zero to do with what i was experiencing, and then proceeded to bill me for ridiculously priced services that didn’t address my problem. I then went to my PCP on Monday who was able to figure out the problem within minutes.nnUnless your emergency is dire, they will likely just send a physician assistant right out of school in to check on you.

Came in for help, called beforehand!!! Wanted to make sure we could get help with detox. They would not keep us in Emergency room nor admit us. Sent home with no recourse. The nurses were good it was the doctor on staff that night. Was also told no urinary infection when the lab results clearly stated the next day that there was. Definitely would NOT recommend this doctor. The absolute worst adding to our stress and frustration....got excellent help at St. Vincent's thank the Lord.
