This restaurant was recommended to me by other folks in my area, so my expectations were high ... and they were exceeded by our experience! It was my friend's 60th birthday and we were delighted by every aspect of the restaurant. Tables were spaced well apart and the ceiling fans were spinning, which provided a well-ventilated indoor space for the COVID era. Our server was particularly friendly and gracious; the decor had a pleasant, relaxed sophistication; and most importantly, the food was spectacular! We shared the spinach salad with warm goat cheese (which I've had in other restaurants) and it was excellent. We especially enjoyed the unexpected notes of pistachios and raspberries, which added depth to the salad. We both ordered the same daily special entree (pasta with mushroom marsala beef, or something to that effect) and it was fantastic! We ended the evening with blueberry bread pudding and the creme brulee trio, which were both delicious. I also ordered a tiramisu to go for my mother, and she loved it. I will definitely return to this gem of a restaurant!

Hostess was on the rude side. They showed us which table we were waiting on for our turn and after it emptied we watched it sit there for 15 minutes before they cleaned it. After they cleaned and set it we waited a further 5 minutes to be called up for our turn as we were told would happen. Finally we had to go ask if that was still our table and if we could be seated. All this after the estimated 20 minute wait time we were given (which in restaurant world we understand could be fluid but the hostess saw us standing outside the restaurant waiting for it and they were at half capacity so not slammed) After chasing down our table we sat and waited....and waited....and waited. Watching 2 other tables be seated and brought water, in one case even have their order taken, till we finally flagged the wait staff down to ask for water. I have to say I was less than impressed with this place after the person at the Port office recommend them as one of the 2 really good places to go down by the water. I try to be patient, knowing we are in strange times, but they were just blatantly ignoring us. However the food itself I would give 5 stars, but overall 2.5 to 3. Great food can only fix so much when it comes to rude and neglectful staff.

My boss recommended it. We were very pleased. My sister was stationed in Italy for 18 years and she said its authentic!

Sogno did Vino is a wonderful dining experience. The food is fantastic but doesn't hold a candle to the service. I always feel like we are the only diners in the restaurant. Their wines and draft beers are great. Tonight we had the smoked salmon linguine and the Angus steak major a home run. Go and spend some time they'll take good care of you.
