I was violated by a medical staff in a way no woman should ever be violated. I told the director, Kathleen, and she told me she did not believe me. They do this because you’re in a psychiatric ward and no one would ever believe a “crazy” person. This was a dark time in my life. I have not been the same since. I find myself clutching myself where I was violated but I can’t shake the way I was touched by this medical staff. NOTHING WAS DONE ABOUT IT. They treat you like you are not human here. Do not send any woman here, the medical staff are allowed to violate you and get away with it.

My mother Wanda was in this facility. She was placed on the geriatric unit. She is 87 and has Dementia.nnI found it difficult to get any information on my mother. I couldn't find out if she was sleeping, eating, and was concerned about the medications she was receiving. When I called to speak to a nurse they were doing the med pass. I would leave a message to call me back but they never did.nnI was never advised of a care plan from her social worker. The social worker could only talk to me 3 minutes at a time because she was so busy.nnI finally reached out to Dr. Rahani. My mother was in there for 3 weeks and the Dr wouldn't call me. I reached out to the DON and she never called me back. I am heartbroken that a Dr like that took care of my mother. What kind of Dr wouldn't call the daughter in three weeks.nnMy mother fell while in their care. The way I found out is my mother told me she had a black eye. The staff never notified me that she fell.nnI am still in shock at the way she and I were treated. There are so many more incidents that it is crazy.nnMy mother had been transferred to another facility. River Vista forgot to send her hearing aide kit to the new facility. My dad spent 5,000 dollars for them. I can't get any answers to get them back. No one will call me.nnIf you love your elderly parent don't let them through the doors of this facility.

Megan is my therapist and literally saved my life. The nurse Sam and the techs Saybre and Felix are amazing. I am now on the road to recovery.
