A ghost town where you get substandard car especially from Dr Lorena layrisse . No body to call they all cover each other’s back. Nothing’s changed from 1967 when I met my first quack.

On Thanksgiving my father in law passed away peacefully at this hospital. I cannot say enough amazing things about the staff here. My father in law Richard was located on floor 8W. My husband had the privilege of getting to know this hospital very well as his father was a frequent patient there. For the two days when things really took a turn for the worse I stepped up to help my husband and be by him and his fathers side. I was absolutely blown away. One nurse (who I unfortunately don’t know her name) even slept in Richard’s room one night as my husband was not able to stay there. I have never seen such compassionate people anywhere. From the custodial staff to the nurses to the palliative care team to the doctors to the volunteers to the chaplain department, every single person impressed me. My father in law was too sick to be transferred to hospice. My husband and I were initially concerned about the type of care he would receive if he stayed at the VA hospital during his last few days. Those thoughts quickly diminished. One particular person that I had the pleasure of spending time with was Alyssa Santacroce. She was the most incredible nurse treating my father in law with top of the line care. She was nurturing, kind and extremely knowledgeable. To everyone else who i unfortunately do not know their names we want to say thank you for everything you did and continue to do for our Veterans. We will always hold this hospital close to our heart.

I was misdiagnosed here several times. Last time they gave me nose drops for what ended up being a thyroid problem. Another time they refused to give me an MRI for my back for several bulging discs. Lastly when I had psoriasis it took 2 months to get a biopsy. By then I was covered. They treat vets like were crack heads.

Good Hospital for the VA. When I go there, staff treat me well and I never have any problems. I would recommend this place for all veterans who need assistance. Staff is always very polite, which goes a long way.

Veterans help veterans. Everyone here is friendly and up front. I've never had a problem other than wait times, which is very common among all VA hospitals I hear. Sometimes you get in 30min after your scheduled appointment because the person before you is taking a very long time. Other than that, the facility is fine and the staff are welcoming. I'll keep going to this location as long as I can.
