The Channelside

Amazing experience and would travel back to Clayton just for dinner here. Our waitress took the time to talk and was very personable, we learned the restaurant is owned by a young couple with a toddler and one on the way, the food was fantastic to the point of having to try something from everyone's plate. Oh, and you can't beat the outdoor seating (even if its windy the buildings block the wind so you can enjoy the water and not be cold).

Good selection of food, though the decor was a bit tacky. The location (right on the water) was incredible though.

We saved one of the best for last on out holiday stay in Clayton. Worth the wait and we enjoyed the creative and refreshing cocktails that paired well with the American waterside standard food with added flair.

Great meal and great service. We sat on the outdoor deck during a rain storm and stayed nice and dry. Nice view of the river from there!

Wish I could rate the food but we were told it’d be an hour wait for a party of 10 at 6:40, and after two hours and multiple attempts to find another way for outside seating during COVID we had to leave. I’m a server and understand that tables can park it for longer than expected, but the hosts should have recognized that the other 10 top that was holding up the table was going to be a long time. Instead, we were told that “we think it’ll be a few more minutes” each time we went in and eventually were never called. We left the area at 8:40 with no dinner.
