We were recently in a position where we needed to sell our silver, gold jewelry & coin collections. We traveled the state looking for the best prices. We spent several days and often split up to cover more ground. We found Newfound Coin & Jewelry. We were so impressed with this gentle man, Doug. He took the time to look at each piece. He went on line right in front of us and helped us learn the value of what we were selling. We decided to return here to sell our items. He paid us fair value and this was more than any other place had offered. We feel he was very honest with us. He did not pressure us and was very willing to educate us and advise holding on to certain items. I first went in to discuss our items and get a price and that didn't change when my husband went in. He was very honest and fair with both of us. We are very pleased with our experience with Newfound Coin & Jewelry.
The rating is only for the store. Doug is a fine person, with good integrity. I met a bit older gentleman that was a wealth of knowledge about coins & history, his name escapes me. Both only, get five*****. I just don't care for there new location, also they are frequently closed.
Been dealing with Doug and Larry for a few years now and they both are wonderful guys. They have always given me fair market prices on pieces that I have brought to them to purchase or items that I have bought. They are very knowledgeable in a lot of areas and I would highly recommend Newfound Coin to anyone!
These guys are straight shooters ,very honest
Buyer beware is clearly the motto of this store. I went in to sell some silver and was given wrong information about current spot price. Then he offered me far less than I could have gotten at another store. I don't usually do these transactions, my husband does. And I will certainly be more informed in the future. But I did the transaction and found out later the problems with it.nnI expect vendors to be straight dealing and have integrity. Newfound did not live up to our standards at all. At Twin State Coin and Jewelry we've always been given a straight deal and while they are further away we'll go there in the future for purchases and sales. I believe in buying local but there are exceptions to that rule of thumb, and Newfound is a prime example of one of them.
